Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Please read these terms carefully before ordering or using a SynoHost service. They explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the services provided by TechnoSyno Network (“SynoHost”, “we”, “us”). By ordering or using a service, you agree to these terms. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company.
2. Services
We provide Linux Cloud VPS hosting, domain registration and related technology services. The specific features of a plan are described on the relevant product page and may be updated from time to time.
We may modify, improve or retire features where necessary for security, reliability or legal compliance. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect your service.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials, email address and contact details accurate and secure. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, including content uploaded, emails sent and applications installed.
4. Fees, billing and renewals
Fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit. Hosting and domain renewals are due before the start of each billing period. Late payment may result in suspension or termination of the service.
Domain registrations and renewals are generally non-refundable once submitted to the registry. Hosting refund requests are reviewed in accordance with our money-back policy and applicable law.
You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file and for renewing your services on time.
5. Domain registration and transfers
Domain registrations are subject to the policies of the relevant registry and ICANN or MYNIC rules. We cannot guarantee that a domain will be available until the registry confirms the registration.
You are responsible for providing accurate registration data. Failure to verify a domain may result in suspension or deletion by the registry.
Domain transfers require a valid authorisation code and may take several days to complete. Transfer fees and renewal terms are displayed at checkout.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use our services to host or distribute illegal content, malware, phishing pages, spam, child sexual abuse material, or content that infringes intellectual property rights. You may not conduct denial-of-service attacks, unauthorised scanning, or any activity that disrupts our network or other customers.
Resource usage must be reasonable and consistent with the plan you purchased. We may suspend accounts that place an excessive load on shared infrastructure or violate our acceptable use policy.
We may remove or suspend content reported as unlawful or abusive, and may report serious offences to the relevant authorities.
7. Uptime and service levels
We target 99.9% network and server uptime for VPS hosting, measured over each calendar month. Scheduled maintenance, force majeure events, network issues outside our control, and issues caused by your applications or content are excluded.
If we fail to meet the uptime target, you may request a service credit in accordance with our published policy. Credits are applied to future invoices and are not paid in cash.
8. Backups
We maintain multiple backup points for disaster recovery. However, backups are not a substitute for your own copies of important data. You are responsible for maintaining independent backups of your website, email and databases.
We do not guarantee the recovery of individual files, emails or databases, and restoration is provided on a best-effort basis.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SynoHost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunities.
Our total liability arising from or relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate a service for non-payment, breach of these terms, illegal activity, or risk to our infrastructure or other customers. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
You may cancel a service at any time from the client area. Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund of prepaid fees.
On termination, we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period. Please take a backup before closing your account.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the date it was last updated. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the client area where appropriate.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@synohost.com or posted to TechnoSyno Network, No. 10, Tingkat 2, Jalan TC 2A/2, Taman Cemerlang, Gombak, 53100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
